Ocean jasper is a trade name for what is known to be a spherulitic (small spheroidal mass of crystals) cryptocrystalline chalcedony and/or aggregate microgranular quartz.
Although ocean jasper is more commonly found in white, green and brown, ocean jasper stones are sometimes also found with black, blue, red, pink, orange, yellow and gray color formations.
